Imagine the moment that the finish line catches you.

Well I had that moment on the 3th of May. I signed up for Wings For Life World Run. It’s a global running event. There is no finish line and participants are chased by  the Catcher Car. You need to pay 30 euros for the event because it’s for charity, you ran for those who can’t. The World Run was in 6 continents and 33 countries. We were with almost 50 000 runners all over the world running at the same time for charity. Incredible feeling isn’t it?

My experience
It was the last minute before the start. I needed to be calm and watch my breathing. It was 1.00 p.m. everyone started to run. I ran so fast as I can and suddenly I lost the control of my breathing. My spleen began stabbing. I was running too fast so I had to go slower. It worked! My breathing was under controle and I had no more stabbing in my spleen. After 30minutes the catcher car started. But I kept my pace. I ran 10km/hour. I was passing the km signs, 5km, 6km, 7km, 8km,10km, 11km, 12km, 13km. I was looking behind me but there was no catcher car. So I kept my pace. Km 14 everyone around me started to run faster. I looked behind and saw the catcher car. I ran as fast I could! I really wanted the 15km. The catcher car overtook me at 15,37km. I was so happy I could cry. I hugged my friend and it was such a special moment. I will never forget that run. I’m happy to say ‘I ran for those who can’t’.
